Picture clarity of the recorded surveillance footage is amazingly clear thanks to the latest generation of H.264 video compression that offers unsurpassed video quality while taking up little hard drive space. With a 500GB Hard Drive (not included) you can record about 3 weeks of continuous video for eight cameras at CIF resolution. Of course you can record even longer if you use scheduled based recording or motion activated recording. The DVR comes with the motion sensing feature, where it watches each camera for changes in the picture and starts recording when it senses motion.
