IMPORTANT - When buying a Motorized Zoom Lens, you need to understand only one issue!

A lens advertised at 10X,  120X, or even 230X zoom does NOT matter!  All that matters is the Optical (mm) zoom of the lens.  No folks, even the Digital zoom ratio hardly matters.

Example: We have an expensive and inexpensive zoom lens. Both advertised at only 10X zoom. The expensive one is a 8-80mm 10X zoom (8mm x 10X zoom = 80mm). The inexpensive one is 3-30mm 10X zoom (3mm x 10X zoom = 30mm). See the problem? The 8-80 can see 2 1/2x farther than the 3-30mm, yet both are a 10X zoom! Further - what if the 8-80 was merely changed and manufactured as a 3-80mm? Note the rating changes from a 10X to 26X zoom, yet sees no farther than before! Folks, Dealers capitalize on buyer misconceptions such as this!

What about 120 or 230X zoom lenses? This advertising furthers confusion. Let's say we have a camera advertised at 230X (folks, we sell this type, so we're certainly not trying to mislead). It achieves this rating in a manner similar to this: we have a 3.6mm-85mm optical (multiply 3.6, 23x = 85mm) and then add a 10X Digital. Thus, 23X optical x 10X Digital = 230 Zoom. Sounds great! Right? Well once you've zoomed in as far you can go (reached the max optical zoom of 85mm), the Digital zoom kicks in and in a nut shell, Digital zoom is poor quality. The reason? All digital zooms take the max optical zooms existing pixels and merely blow them up! This pixel enlargement can be done anywhere from 1 to 10 times. The result? An extremely pixilated image!      

Bottom line: All that really matters is the Optical zoom because it's the clearest imaging you'll receive.

1 - 5 Camera Setups w/Controllers: If you've already shopped around for PTZ camera setups, you're going to know first hand what we're offering here is unheard of at this price. With this setup, we include our Digital 'ULTRA Pro Series' camera utilizing a 1/3" Sony CCD with DSP (Digital Signal Processor) that offers crisp, clear, state of the art imaging, built-in Auto Electronic Shutter with Internal IRIS that automatically adjusts to light changes, Backlight Compensation feature (BLC) and all virtually achieve the impossible in low light conditions. 1 - 30 Camera Setup with Joystick Controller:  Our new creation! Not to be confused with our exclusive DiGiDome (below), this is the DiGiDome II -- the DiGiDomes new little brother! While features are not as vast, nor is it' panning abilities as great, this lil brother can certainly hold its own in competition to many other PTZ domes currently on the market. For instance,

1 - 255 Camera Setup with Joystick Controller: When it comes to quality and features too numerous to name, you've arrived with this setup. This camera is truly the best in it's class! However let's start with the basics: This Pan, Tilt and Zoom setup is designed to offer several choices for installation of Exterior applications. As you can see (right), you may mount the Dome via a Wall mount or a Recessed ceiling mount (Recessed mounting ring and hardware is optional and not included).  Our Color DiGiDomes Panning & Tilting capabilities offer you the ability to Pan it right, left, Tilt it up or straight down, including endless 360 degrees rotation! Also included is Preset Positioning -- you're able to store into the memory of your Keyboard Controller various camera positions that are frequently traveled. No need to grab the Joystick knob and turn your camera to that position, merely press a number (1-255) on your Keyboard and your camera will zip on over to the number's corresponding position. There's also a Tour mode that enables you to create and save frequently traveled areas all by merely pressing a button! Pretty nifty eh? You'll also receive an 180 degree Auto-Flip feature. 1 - 31 Camera Setup with Joystick Controller:  You're looking at one serious Day & Night camera offered exclusively by us! The Johnny-5 is hands-down one of the most heavy-duty, Pan, Tilt Zoom cameras on the market today, not to mention quite possibly one of the farthest seeing via Infrared technology. But let's start with the basics, shall we? It's Pan, Tilt features allow you to Pan and Tilt your camera up to 350 degrees (rotation) and a 120 degree up or down angle. This is achieved either by manual or automatic settings via your included Joystick Keyboard Controller. Via your Joystick, you're able to point your camera in any direction you desire. Further, with Preset Positioning -- you're able to store into your Keyboard up to 128 various camera positions which are frequently traveled. Thus, there's no need to grab the Joystick knob to turn your camera to that position. Instead, merely press a number on your Keyboard and your camera will zip on over to the number's corresponding position. There's also a Tour mode which enables you to create and save a sequence of multiple areas frequently traveled.
